I was born in NYC; BA Dartmouth College (American Letters); taught high school English in Beirut Lebanon;  studied film in Paris at l'Institut des Hautes Etudes Cinématographiques; produced, directed, edited and shot documentaries for PBS/KQED 1968-72; freelance Director of Photography 1972 to present; also President of the Board Berkeley Montessori School September 1993-January 1998.
